How To Measure Your Dam

Knowing your dam or pond’s measurements can greatly assist in ensuring you use the right amount of Water$ave Dam Sealer when sealing any leaks. Every dam is different with exact measurements sometimes hard to achieve.  An approximation can be used but it is recommended to allow more area in this case.

The shape of your dam will determine what measurement is needed (refer image above).

  • Circle, Oval or Kidney Shape - The diameter should be used to calculate the surface area.
  • Square, Rectangle or L shape – Length & width are to be used to measure the surface area.
